What is your favorite TV show? Is it on when you want it to be? By the time you settle down at night, is there anything interesting to watch?
Why flip through channels when most of the shows you want to watch are online, available, when you want to watch them. These days, there is less and less of a need for premium cable TV.
Most of the basic TV stations broadcast their content online to be watched on your computer for free. Though watching an hour long show at your computer may not as appealing as say the nice comfy couch. The solution..get it on your TV. How? Steps to connect a laptop or desktop to TV
- Most new TV’s have everything you need in order to connect, just look on the back.
- Almost all PC’s (Windows based machines) have VGA (monitor) ports.
- Apple based laptops and desktops vary, but you can purchase VGA connections from the Apple Store. Each one is specific to your computer, so if you don’t know, call (1.800.MY.APPLE).
- If you have a desktop, unplug the monitor from your computer; if you have a laptop, locate the monitor port. Using a Male to Male VGA cable connect your computer to the back of your TV.
- For sound plug in the black end of this sound cable to your headphone jack on your laptop or desktop, and the other two ends into the respective sound ports on your TV.
- Then change the source of your TV to VGA.
