TechTips Vol III Mac – Enable right mouse click
If you are a PC user coming over to a Mac, you might be left wondering where that useful right mouse click went. It’s still there, just needs to be enabled. If you are on a mac desktop (or want an external mouse for your laptop) you can use a traditional PC mouse or one of Apple’s Magic or Mighty mice.
The instructions to enable the right mouse click for an external mouse or laptop trackpad are here http://theappleblog.com/2008/08/21/mac-101-enable-right-click-on-macs/
If you have an original apple mouse (i.e. If it’s not either the Magic or Mighty mouse), you can replace it, or hold down the “ctrl” key while clicking. That will have the same effect as a right mouse click.
