TechTips Vol V Software
Do you need good Antivirus Software on your windows computer? Does it seem expensive? Would you mind not paying for Antivirus Software?
I recently came across this article at lifehacker.com. It is focused on Microsoft’s new security essentials . Security Essentials is a free antivirus, anti spam, software package for Windows. I can’t say that I’ve had much experience with it, as it is new, but I can say that I’ve had the same experience with just about every other AntiVirus software out there. I see nothing wrong with using a Microsoft supported Antivirus Software.
i.e. I’ve had plenty of computers running the latest versions of Symantec and McaFee, both paid versions, get infected with Viruses and Malware. In order to remove the malicious software, I’ve used free tools like MalwareBytes and Spybot
